(CI), a source of financing and ongoing support for Connecticut’s innovative, growing companies, announced that RepliX, a cloud storage start-up company, won the VentureClash Tel Aviv pitch competition.
RepliX delivers a private and public data center distribution platform that increases utilization and cuts costs for business-critical applications. The company is now eligible for a $500,000 investment from CI, and it also secured a spot in the semifinal round of the main $5 million VentureClash competition in Connecticut, which will culminate with the final pitch event in October.
“The quality and caliber of all the companies that participated in the process and pitched at VentureClash Tel Aviv were outstanding,” said Matt McCooe, CEO, CI. “We congratulate RepliX, Mother’s Choice and EcoPlant, as they made it past some extraordinary companies. We are excited to welcome all three winners to Connecticut to explore the ways in which our state can provide the resources to help them scale and thrive in the North American marketplace.”
VentureClash is Connecticut’s $5 million global venture challenge for early- and growth-stage companies in digital health, financial technology, insurance technology and industry 4.0.
For the first time, CI brought the VentureClash competition to Israel to identify locally-based start-ups that might benefit from establishing a presence and expanding their businesses in Connecticut.
