Ctera in Partnership With Exponential-e
To provide secure enterprise file services
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on May 7, 2019 at 2:09 pmExponential-e Ltd, a British cloud, network, and unified communications provider, and CTERA Networks Ltd announced their partnership to provide secure enterprise file services.
Focusing on unified data management, modern content collaboration, and CDP for distributed organisations, the partnership opens opportunities for British and organisations to embark on their cloud transformation without compromising performance or security.
Integrating CTERA’s technology into Exponential-e’s S4 cloud object storage offering allows enterprises to lower the cost of storage with a scalable solution that provides users with local access to their ‘hot’ files, while moving other data to S4 buckets for ILM. The private, dedicated and multi-tenant cloud architectures help better serve customers that are concerned about their data privacy and data sovereignty to transform to the cloud.
As a Dell EMC cloud service provider and strategic outsourcer, Exponential-e is also able to enhance and extend cloud-ready solutions, such as hyperconverged infrastructure with managed global SD-WAN services.
Using CTERA’s technology, Exponential-e will be able to offer a suite of secure multi-cloud services including:
- Performing global file service delivery
- ROBO hybrid cloud NAS
- Private file sync and share
- Endpoint backup and data protection
- Centralised storage infrastructure to reduce TCO
“We selected CTERA following an RFP involving careful consideration of the most notable competitors in the market for enterprise file services. We particularly wanted to serve our wide customer base including SMEs, large enterprises and public sector organisations. From a customer perspective, we established that working with CTERA enables us to support them in optimising their TCO for data management and storage, whilst delivering a rich range of enhanced features to drive increased collaboration and enhanced data security and protection,” said Jonathan Bridges, chief innovation officer, Exponential-e.
Exponential-e, which supports more than 3,000 customers in the UK and worldwide and has managed more than 60 major international digital transformation projects, has seen an uplift in enterprise demand for a secure multi-cloud data management platform that can extend the edge to the cloud. It therefore needed to identify and add to its offering a technology to help overcome common challenges when managing cloud storage infrastructure, such as performance, security, and cost.
“We love seeing more MSP partners benefit from the business value they get from the CTERA Files service platform. Our promise for a secure cloud transformation stands together with Exponential-e’s mission to modernise the IT for their customers and we are thrilled to see that some have already chosen our technology to achieve their imperative transformation.” said Michael Amselem, VP sales, Europe, CTERA.
