Excelero Expands NVMesh Offering to Lenovo ThinkSystem Portfolio

Excelero Ltd, in software-defined block storage, announced a collaboration with Lenovo Data Center Group to provide its NVMesh software-defined block storage solutions to Lenovo customers and channel partners worldwide.

The collaboration will make it easier for organisations to benefit from NVMe flash storage’s superior throughput and efficiency at web-scale and at any scale.

Already proven in Lenovo deployments at SciNet, Canada’s largest HPC facility, and at a London, UK-based machine learning firm, NVMesh provides a choice for web-scale deployments and in big data uses in concert with Lenovo’s ThinkSystem portfolio, rated #1 in customer satisfaction and reliability according to ITIC, leading 140 industry benchmarks as of April 2, 2019.

The offering also benefits mainstream data centre storage applications, since latest NVMesh2 solution supports TCP/IP and FC, and offers flexible protection levels and customised management controls. As NVMe flash nears price parity with traditional flash, the two partners enable a wider range of organisations to achieve heightened storage capacity, flexibility and scale-out support without changing networking protocols or storage fabrics.
