Trond Myklebust CTO, Douglas Fallstrom VP products and operations

Hammerspace LLC, a new startup promising ‘Data Beyond Storage’, announced the appointment of:

  • Mark Glasgow VP of WW sales,
  • Trond Myklebust CTO, and
  • Douglas Fallstrom VP of products and operations.

With them, Hammerspace has the firepower to disrupt the management of data across the hybrid cloud.

“Data is growing at exponential rates, but realizing its full potential using conventional means simply won’t scale,” said Fallstrom. “We know there is a better way, and we will bring a product to market that solves this problem with simplicity and elegance.”

Mark Glasgow adds leadership and experience to the Hammerspace sales team. His 20 years in sales management has focused on helping customers deploy business-critical enterprise software and storage systems, from mid-market businesses on up to the largest hyperscale customers on the planet. He has successfully lead sales teams of all sizes, holding senior roles in organizations ranging from early venture-funded technology startups to substantial multinational corporations such as IBM, Dell, Micron, SolidFire and X-IO.

Trond Myklebust, the maintainer and lead developer for the Linux kernel NFS client, brings more than 20 years of experience with networked storage and Linux kernel development. Under his leadership, the open-source community continues to architect and develop networked file-systems over several generations. Before joining Hammerspace, he worked for Primary Data, NetApp and the University of Oslo. He also holds an MSc in quantum field theory and fundamental fields from Imperial College, London and worked in high-energy physics at the University of Oslo and CERN.

Douglas Fallstrom is a seasoned professional with 25 years of experience in enterprise storage and is responsible for the productization of Hammerspace and general operations of the business. He takes pride in building teams to bring enterprise-ready products to market. Before Hammerspace, he held leadership roles with firms including Primary Data, Coho Data, Symantec, Veritas Software and Sun Microsystems.
