The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: “A device to reduce solid state drives, (SSD) and the like digital media storage devices into particles less than 2 mm maximum edge length. The device is particularly adapted to disintegrating 1.8” and 2.5” solid state drives at a rate of about 360 HDD/hr or 720 SSD/hr with a throughput of about 10 seconds. A blade assembly is designed to provide multiple cutting angles while rotating at 520 rpm to maintain a low decibel rating.”
The patent application was filed on July 19, 2017 (15/654,095).
