HighPoint Technologies, Inc. launches the RocketStor 6661A I/O adapter series, a performing storage and connectivity solutions for Thunderbolt 3 host platforms.

The compact form factor is for compact desktops, workstations and portable computing platforms, and can host a range of external devices from NVMe SSD’s and SAS/SATA RAID storage to USB drives and peripherals.

RocketStor 6661A I/O are a Thunderbolt 3 expansion and connectivity solutions available for Mac and Windows platforms. Unlike hubs, docking stations and other more common connectivity or expansion devices, this adapters are built for speed, and deliver dedicated per-port performance, regardless of the device interface; from fast NVMe RAID (RocketStor 6661A-NVMe), flexible 6G eSATA + USB 3.0 connectivity (RocketStor 6661A-2U2e), touniversal USB 3.0 connectivity (RocketStor 6661A-4USB/2USB).

RocketStor 6661A I/O adapters are powered by Thunderbolt 3 connectivity, and the company’s NVMe, SAS and SATA RAID and storage technology. Compact, lightweight and easy to transport, each combo adapter stands seven inches tall and is less than three inches wide; this small-footprint form factor is for laptops, notebooks and portable computing applications.

The built-in daisy-chain capability allows users to link up to six RocketStor 6661A adapter solutions to a single Thunderbolt 3 capable system. The 40Gb/s transfer bandwidth is capable of supporting a range of external configurations such NVMe or SAS RAID for performance applications, supplemented by USB or eSATA connectivity for long-term storage and backup purposes.

The RocketStor 6661A-4USB/2USB adapters deliver dedicated 10Gb/s bandwidth for each USB.31 port, and are for the RocketStor 6124VM/VW and rDrive 6114V RAID enclosure and storage solutions.

Thunderbolt 3 to SAS and SATA RAID storage adapter solutions
The RocketStor 6661A-mSAS2 and mSAS1 adapters can directly support up to eight SAS/SATA drives, and are designed for fast external storage devices such as the RocketStor 6418S and RocketStor 6414S SAS/SATA tower enclosures, and RocketStor 641x series SAS/SATA RAID storage enclosures.
