The firm continued to add world-leading organisations to its global customer community, including McDonald’s and new commands within the U.S. Department of Defense, and also expanded its implementations at numerous tier-1 financial services firms and leading service providers.
Product Enhancements
- Announced version 6.0 of the Enterprise File Services Platform, adding smart caching capabilities to its edge filers and endpoint agents that deliver infinite file capacity and content access to branch office environments and corporate users.
- Added support for universal ACLs, making it simple for users to migrate legacy office file systems to a desktop or laptop experience. CTERA technology’s enables NT-ACLs to follow collaboration policies across office file servers, desktops and even mobile devices.
- Earned certification for FIPS 140-2, a U.S. federal government data encryption standard.
Strategic Partnerships
Th company continued to expand its alliance partnerships in 2017 with global cloud and software-defined storage providers. It announced strategic reselling agreements with IBM and HPE, and grew business with Dell EMC and AWS, as well as with world-leadingcloud service providers: Telefonica, Orange, Swisscom, Telecom Italia, and Bezeq.
Industry Recognition
The vendor was recognised in 2017 by industry analysts, including Gartner, IDC, and Forrester. It was mentioned as a selected vendor in Gartner reports across multiple categories, including Cloud Storage Gateways, Enterprise Endpoint Backup, Integrated Backup Appliances and Information Dispersal Algorithms, and was named by Gartner to the 2017 Magic Quadrant for Content Collaboration Platforms.
