IBM Plans to Launch New Cloud Data Protection Risk Insights

This offering will help an organization’s security and compliance teams to automatically analyze where sensitive data resides in environments (both on-premises and on-cloud), and determine how exposed data is to security risks. This offering will provide a prioritized list of risk exposures in data sources and provide guidance on how to help minimize risk and help protect sensitive data from internal and external threats that impact data security and protection.
As a Cloud Services offering it will help organizations identify sensitive information and security risks related to compliance requirements, such as the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Cloud Data Protection Risk Insights intends to provide following capabilities:
- Connect to cloud and on-premises data sources in a secure way
- Discover sensitive and personal data in data sources
- Identify data security risk, such as exposures to various severe and critical vulnerabilities
