Like all company’s secure drives, these models are software-free, Aegis Configurator compatible, and cross-platform compatible including Windows, Linux, Mac, Android, and Chrome.
The firm’s software-free approach ensures that the data is hardware-encrypted, and authentication process is executed within the device’s embedded encryption system by way of its onboard keypad.
No critical security parameters such as PINs or encryption keys are shared with the host. Additionally, software-free/self-contained authentication and encryption makes the Aegis line of secure drives, compatible with virtually any OS as well as for applications such as embedded systems and instrumentation without a keyboard.
