Object Matrix Provided Two MatrixStore Clusters to Preserving Muslim Heritage for Makhzan e-Tasaweer
To protect and secure images library of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on February 14, 2018 at 2:27 pmObject Matrix Ltd. has provided two MatrixStore clusters to protect and secure images for Makhzan e-Tasaweer, the official image library of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
The purpose of Makhzan-e-Tasaweer is to collate, archive and preserve photographs related to the Community. For this purpose, an on going project is being pursued in which photographs related to various categories are being collected and collated.
Makhzan-e-Tasaweer is providing a positive and educational influence for its viewers, covering a range of genres. As such, it creates a huge volume of images relevant to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, amongst others.
Makhzan e-Tasaweer already has a vast archive of important content with images depicting major events held over the past 129 years. This content would otherwise sit unprotected, with no backup on separate HDDs with no easy search functionality. This archive will only continue to grow and therefore a solution was required to protect and future proof their content and make it easy to find.
After understanding the benefits that MTA has seen after implementing MatrixStore in a DR workflow, Makhzan e-Tasaweer also purchased two MatrixStore clusters to be installed in separate locations. This will enable it to have all of the security and protection levels that MatrixStore, the digital content governance platform provides plus a DR and BC workflow, so should anything happen to compromise the access to content in the primary location, firstly it will have another copy and secondly it will always be able to access it.
It will also be using Vision, the web based browser that not only enables Makhzan e-Tasaweer to view its entire library in a simple interface but it also gives it search functionality, making its images in its vast library easy to find and readily available.
Omair Aleem, manager, Makhzan e-Tasaweer, commented: “As our library continues to grow, it was clear that we not only needed easy access to images, but that we also need to keep these images secure for future generations. MatrixStore was able to meet the strategic and tactical needs of all the stakeholders involved in the decision.“
Nick Pearce-Tomenius, director, sales and marketing, Object Matrix, added: “Makhzan e-Tasaweer serves as a really important cultural record for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. As such, it was important to change the way that content is stored, accessed, and shared, making it both future proof and well protected.“
