The space-allocation sub-logic is for allocating at least one data block to an upper-layer application in accordance with a size of a document needed to be stored. By adopting the formatting process, users may create the index area and data area on different physical storage disks so as to separate the index area and the data area. In this way, the users may store the information regarding the index area on different storage disks.
