For e-discovery, security and compliance
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on December 28, 2017 at 2:39 pmHubStor, Inc. announced the availability of audio and video transcription features in its cloud service for secondary storage.
Using the new features, customers of the company’s cloud archive platform can search and classify the dialogue of audio and video files for e-discovery, security and compliance.
The search engine lets users scope the new media indexing options using policies so that customers can target particular content in their secondary cloud storage that they wish to transcribe. Azure Media Services is the underlying speech-to-text engine that supplies the accurate transcription which HubStor archives with the source audio and video files.
“We have customers that store plenty of audio and video files that are critical to their business,” said Greg Campbell, CTO, HubStor. “Call center recordings or videos of job sites and meetings are commonplace, and HubStor’s new transcription and search features make it easy for our customers to include this content in the scope of their eDiscovery and data classification efforts.“
The company recently announced integration with Azure Archive Storage to enable clients to apply analytics-driven storage tiering policies that intelligently manage information between the hot, cool and archive tiers in the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. Customers can transcribe their audio and video files before tiering the data to the low-cost archive tier, providing a discovery and long-term retention solution of cold data that is rarely accessed.
Features for audio and video search are available.
