SPEC Updating SFS 2014 SP2 Storage Solutions Benchmark ($2,000)

Standard Performance Evaluation Corp. (SPEC) has released the SFS 2014 SP2 benchmark, an update of the standard software used to measure the maximum sustainable throughput that a storage solution can deliver.

Upgrades in SP2 of SPEC SFS 2014 software include:

  • An increase in load-generation scaling from 10,000 to 30,000 processes

  • Reduced start-up time

  • Improved robustness in more distributed topologies

  • Improved details in logging and diagnostic messages

  • Enhancements to custom workload generation capabilities

  • New workload for the electronic design automation (EDA) market.

The SFS 2014 SP2 benchmark is available for download on the company’s website. It is free for existing SPEC SFS 2014 license holders.

The price for new customers is $2,000, with discounts for qualified research and academic institutions.
