Odaseva, New Player in Salesforce Data Protection

Emerging cloud to cloud bakup vendor

Founded in 2012 by CEO Sovan Bin with a dual HQ in San Francisco, CA, and Paris, France, Odaseva is an AppExchange software vendor addressing the need to protect Salesforce data.

He is a CRM expert and especially in Salesforce having spent more than 5 years at software giant.

We found 11 employees on LinkedIn.

The company just received an undisclosed investment with French Serena Capital but suffers from a lack of visibility.

The Odaseva data protection solution offers backup (plus of course restore) and archive, and the team recently introduced GDPR during last Dreamforce conference. The model relies on AWS with EC2 and S3 offering scalability, elasticity and ubiquity with capabilities to do full, incremental, differential and partial backup. All data are fully encrypted.

The company has started by its domestic market and secured large accounts such ArcelorMittal, Alstom, GE, Heineken, Suez, CNP and Schneider Electric.

Odaseva (Salesforce only) protects 150B+ records per year and competes seriously against Spanning (Salesforce, Office365 and G Suite) protecting 2 billion+ records per week for 8,100+ customers and 1 million+ accounts, and OwnBackup (Salesforce, ServiceNow, Slack) who secures 8PB for 3.03 trillion records.
