Nakivo: 89% Revenue Growth in 2016 Vs. 2015
Especially in VMware and Amazon EC2 backup markets

It is delivering a way for cloud providers, enterprises, and SMBs to protect their VMware and cloud environments more reliably, efficiently, and cost effectively.
In 2016, NAKIVO has achieved the following:
- Customers: It has grown its customer base by 98% in 2016 compared to 2015. Most of the customers came from the EMEA region (57%), while 30% came from the Americas, and 13% came from Asia. Some of the customer examples include: China Airlines (NAKIVO Helps China Airlines Instantly Recover VMs, Save 60% of Storage Space, Cut Budget by 30%), Radisson (Radisson Park Inn Hotel.
Reduces VM Backup Storage by 3X with NAKIVO’s Global Data Deduplication), and Kaltura (Kaltura Achieves 12X Faster VM Backup with NAKIVO’s VMware Backup Solution). - Revenue: The company has demonstrated excellent 2016 annual revenue results: it has achieved nearly 2X (89%) revenue growth in 2016 vs. 2015, demonstrating rapid growth in the VMware and Amazon EC2 backup markets. Most of the revenue (45%) came from the EMEA region, while 41% came from the Americas region, and 14% came from Asia. NAKIVO Americas grew revenue 107% in 2016 compared to 2015. It grew revenue more than 100% Y/Y in Brazil, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Israel, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, and the UK.
- Solution Partners: The firm increased the number of active Solution Partners by 80% in 2016 vs. 2015. Over 1,500 VMware and Amazon EC2 resellers from 117 countries across the Americas, Europe, Africa, Middle-East, and Asia have joined NAKIVO Partner Program and offer company’s products to their SMB and enterprise customers. Some examples of solution partners include: CampusLan Software GmbH (CampusLan Software GmbH Gains 20 New Customers with NAKIVO’s VMware Backup Solution), OSTEC (OSTEC Deploys NAKIVO Backup & Replication for VMware to Fifteen Customers in 90 Days), and Integrative (Integrative Wins New Business with VMware Backup Appliance Based on NAKIVO Backup & Replication).
- Cloud Providers: The firm continues to grow its cloud provider ecosystem: over 100 VMware and Amazon EC2 service providers from 43 countries have joined NAKIVO Cloud Provider program and deliver VM Backup-as-a-Service, VM Replication-as-a-Service, and VM Disaster-Recovery-as-a-Service to their customers using Backup & Replication. An example of a cloud provider is LASI (NAKIVO Reduces DR Testing Time by 90% for a Leading Cloud Service Provider).
- Product: During 2016, The company has released the following product versions:
• v6.0 featuring native backup and replication of Amazon EC2 instances, as well as backup copy jobs, and native NFS support.
• v6.1 featuring instant object recovery for Exchange 2016/2013, Exchange 2016/2013 logs truncation, Hot Add, and job chaining.
• v6.2 featuring backup, replication, and recovery of paid EC2 instances sold through AWS Marketplace.
