Thecus Technology Corp. announced that Ennoconn Corporation, in IPC design and the system integration industry, has acquired a 60% stake in Thecus.

Ennoconn is a subsidiary of Foxconn Technology Group. Under Foxconn, Ennoconn collaborates with it’s own subsidiary companies titled the Foxconn IPC Technology Group.

Thecus provides NAS, optimizing how home user to enterprise business centrally store, manage and access their digital data both onsite and cloud-based.

I am thrilled by the prospects that this strategic alliance brings to the table. With Ennoconn’s acquisition, we will harness Foxconn’s IPC Technology Group manufacturing power with Thecus’ in depth network storage industry knowledge. Ennoconn and Thecus together will develop our portfolio of continuous innovation through cutting-edge technology, as we intend to usher in the IoT era with products that will play an increasingly important role in people’s day-to-day lives,” said Florence Shih, president, Thecus.

This acquisition follows a significant number of similar strategic investments in companies based in the IoT industry made by Ennoconn under their management; the Foxconn IPC Technology Group has positioned itself to offer a total IoT solution to the international community.

With Ennoconn’s acquisition, Thecus will formally join the world’s largest electronics manufacturing company Foxconn, renowned for its manufacturing capability globally, cost-efficiency, and quality.
