Avere Joins AWS Public Sector Partner Program

For work across government, education and non-profit sectors

Avere Systems, Inc. announced that AWS has selected Avere to participate in its AWS Public Sector Partner Program.

The program recognizes companies with an overall AWS practice, and demonstrates their experience and readiness to support government, education, and/or non-profit customer missions.

Across the public sector, IT departments use Avere’s Hybrid Cloud NAS solutions to enable cloud-ready infrastructure as a key step to data center modernization. Public sector organizations such as NASA, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Library of Congress use Avere to scale datacenter performance and capacity to meet critical compliance requirements while keeping costs low. Using the AWS Cloud, Avere provides organizations with a hybrid cloud platform that delivers the agility needed to integrate existing NAS architectures with Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) and Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) without sacrificing performance.

The AWS Public Sector Partner Program provides an excellent, collaborative platform for AWS Partner Network companies to support the public sector,” said Ron Bianchini, president and CEO, Avere. “We are committed to further strengthening the benefits of cloud services for government, academic and non-profit organizations and are honored to be a member of the AWS Public Sector Program.

Avere FXT Edge filers support the AWS GovCloud region Secure Token Service (STS) and the Signature Version 4 Signing Process features for S3 access, in addition to being FIPS 140-2 compliant.
