This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on November 22, 2016 at 2:42 pmOne Stop Systems, Inc. (OSS), in PCIe appliances for HPC applications, features a PCIe 3.0 expansion appliance to support up to eight Intel Corp.‘s Xeon Phi co-processors and sixteen Intel P3608 Series SSDs in the Intel Pavilion at SC16.
The pre-configured appliance is targeted for data centers operating HPC applications, providing the user with a complete appliance that solves many integration issues, provides enhanced performance and storage, and allows for scalable flexibility. The user attaches the HDCA to up to four servers and has 488 additional compute cores and 64TB of PCIe flash storage readily available. Each connection operates at PCIe x16 3.0 with speeds of up to 128Gb/s.
“We are extremely happy to partner with Intel to provide this exceptional hardware solution to support multiple HPC applications,” said Steve Cooper, OSS CEO. “With support of up to eight Intel Xeon Phi co-processors and sixteen Intel P3608 SSDs, the HDCA-FA adds over 9Tflops of compute power to your server or servers. The PCIe flash storage resides in the same enclosure as the co-processors and both can be mixed and matched to achieve the right amount of compute power and storage for a multitude of HPC applications.“
The HDCA-FA equipped with Xeon Phi co-processors and SSDs is available.
