Scality, Inc. appointed Paul Turner as CMO and Pierre Derome as VP of engineering, as well as promoted Claire Forest to chief people officer.

Storage industry expert Paul Turner, brings more than 20 years expertise in enterprise storage having held leadership roles at NetApp, and most recently Cloudian. At Cloudian, he was CMO leading all go-to-market and product management for this early stage start-up. Previous to this, he led the product strategy office at NetApp, where he guided their investments into FlashRay, Iongrid and CacheIQ. He also was the GM of the OnCommand Insight Business (which included Onaro and Akorri acquisitions). Under his leadership this enterprise software business grew to more than $60 million and was recognized by Gartner as a leader in the SRM market.

Pierre Derome has been leading Web, IT, and technical teams for over 20 years at influential companies including T-Online France, Nortel, Betclic Everest Group and Kertel. At T-Online he was CTO and led engineering, managing a team of 200 software engineers and a yearly budget up to €300 million.

Scality has also promoted Claire Forest to become the chief people officer. She has held numerous roles in technology, sports and art, including marketing director in the musical industry for 15 years and France marketing director for UUnet, the worldwide leader in Internet access in the late nineties.
