Amped Wireless Opts for Paragon Software

To expand file sharing and storage capabilities

Paragon Software Group Corp. announced its NTFS for Linux and FAT32 for Linux technology has been selected by Amped Wireless to expand file sharing and storage capabilities for their entire line of network products, beginning with the home user-focused ATHENA-R2 High Power AC2600 Wi-Fi Router with Advanced MU-MIMO (Multi-User MIMO).

Effective immediately, customers will be able to use Paragon’s NTFS for Linux solution to gain full read-write access to their Windows (NTFS-formatted) HDDs and flash drives, attached to Amped Wireless Linux-based platforms via USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports. Thanks to the Paragon Universal File System Driver (UFSD) technology, their external drives will be accessible throughout the network to any device-no matter what OS they’re running. As a result, all users across the network can download and share files and stream multimedia content to and from the attached drives to gain higher levels of convenience, collaboration and customer satisfaction.

Our new ATHENA-R2 Router was engineered with the multi-user household in mind, and it’s specifically designed to handle multiple connecting devices at once. In addition to providing unmatched Wi-Fi coverage to virtually eliminate all dead spots, it delivers Wi-Fi to multiple devices at the same time so that everyone can browse, game, stream and enjoy the Internet without delay or interruption,” said Lacey Limbrick, brand and marketing manager, Amped Wireless. “We are excited to align with Paragon on such a groundbreaking product and make use of their technology to expand the range of capabilities that we can deliver to our customers.

Paragon’s FAT32 for Linux UFSD driver is also available to Amped Wireless ATHENA-R2 customers, allowing the use of removable storage for added file sharing options across compatible devices such as cameras, smartphones and computers.

Amped Wireless is recognized around the world for providing the highest quality, long range wireless products. Paragon is thrilled to contribute our proven UFSD technology to their innovative ATHENA-R2 product line and help them deliver on their promise of meeting and exceeding customers’ needs and expectations,” said Tom Fedro, president, Paragon.

UFSD technology provides rapid, transparent and R/W access to non-native file systems under Linux, Android, iOS, QNX and other platforms. Featuring a portfolio of UFSD solutions, Paragon is focused on delivering utilities that protect stored data while delivering performance with no limits on file or volume size.
