He joins as CMO to lead the global marketing strategy and accelerate growth throughout the Americas, EMEA, AsiaPac, and Japan.
A 20-year industry veteran, Syed Hoda most recently served as CMO of ParStream, Inc., an IoT analytics company, recently acquired by Cisco. Previously, he served as a senior executive at Cisco in a variety of management roles in the US, Europe, and Asia. He was GM of Cisco’s Emerging Solutions Group in San Jose, California and was also instrumental in the launch of the company’s Globalization Center in Bangalore, India. He studied Industrial Engineering as an undergraduate at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, and earned a Master of Business Administration from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. He is also a regular contributor to The Huffington Post.

Hoda’s onboarding comes at the end of an impressive year for Scality, marked by a recent $45 million round of funding, strategic growth in the Americas, Paris and Japan, global resale agreements with Dell and HP, a series of customer wins, and enhancements to the RING, which were made available in March 2015. In June, the company released a free online trial of the software, and in September, created an additional free online trial focused on digital video storage use cases.
