Dataguise With Carahsoft
To protect sensitive data collected by government agencies
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on December 16, 2015 at 2:34 pmDataguise, Inc., a provider of data-centric security solutions for detecting and protecting confidential information across the enterprise and in the cloud, announced a partnership with Carahsoft Technology Corp., a government IT solutions provider.
Under the agreement, Carahsoft will make Dataguise DgSecure available to the public sector via Carahsoft’s GSA schedule.
DgSecure enables government agencies to discover, audit, protect, and monitor sensitive data that is entering, leaving, or being stored in their organizations. It is designed to safeguard an organization’s most sensitive and vulnerable data – such as names and addresses, dates and places of birth, social security numbers, security clearance information, fingerprints, health and insurance information, and financial reports – in the event of a cyber-attack.
“Given the exponential growth of data and the increasingly aggressive cyber-attacks on government agencies, cyber security initiatives need to start focusing on protecting the data that matters most,” said Michael Shrader, VP of emerging technologies, Carahsoft. “Carahsoft understands the value of Dataguise in delivering the most precise data-centric security solution on the market. Together, we’re empowering our federal customers and reseller partners to really know and control their data, earn the trust of users, and become secure data stewards.“
Security threats abound in this era of big data and cloud technology. Attacks can come from both inside and outside an organization, which is why traditional security methods such as firewalls, authentication, and encryption aren’t enough to keep confidential information safe. Dataguise DgSecure offers the only one-stop, data-centric security solution that detects, audits, protects, and monitors sensitive data at the data (or element) level. DgSecure is flexible and easy to use, allowing government agencies to define what data needs to be protected, pinpoint where that data is located, protect it using masking and/or encryption, and facilitate risk analysis, auditing, and reporting.
“We are pleased to partner with Carahsoft and demonstrate our commitment to the public sector,” said JT Sison, VP marketing and business development, Dataguise. “Government agencies have a duty to safeguard protected information and comply with the privacy regulations they themselves have put in place. With Carahsoft and Dataguise, now they have a simple way to do just that.“
DgSecure is available via Carahsoft’s GSA Schedule No. GS-35F-0119Y.
