NovaStor Updates NovaBACKUP Software to Version 17.2 Adding VMware 6 Support

NovaStor AG announced the version update of NovaBACKUP to 17.2.

This release adds support for the backup and restore of VMs running under VMware 6, to the NovaBACKUP business essentials product – which has established itself as one of the best single server backup solutions on the market via 3rd party reviews. The ability to protect data on both physical and VMs in a single license, at a price point which is budget friendly for small businesses has made this product highly sought after by IT integrators and providers alike.

The backup and restore of business applications such as SQL and Exchange has been further streamlined so that in the event of catastrophic failure, businesses are able to get critical systems back online quickly.

DR has become more robust and stable, with improved error handling, allowing users to restore an entire system (including OS and applications) with minimal effort – even to dissimilar hardware.

Enhanced cloud functionality provides options for customers to store their data when utilizing services such as Amazon S3 or Microsoft OneDrive.

With version 17.2, all server products include free remote setup assistance providing a scheduled appointment with a company’s backup engineer to help install and configure initial backup jobs and ensure that data is secure from day one.

This release comes with new self-healing capabilities that offer customers the option of reporting software issues to the firm’ engineering team to be addressed in future updates.
