Fantastic Cloud Services Signs Contract With UK Wealden District Council
For backup and DR solution
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on November 5, 2015 at 3:14 pmFantastic Cloud Services, a cloud service provider, has signed a two-year deal with Wealden District Council in East Sussex.
It is the first public sector client for the Leeds-based company, whose current portfolio consists of regional and national businesses such as The Technology Forge Ltd, Optimum Data Centres and Tastecard. The fledgling company will provide and support a private cloud backup & DR solution protecting the council’s IT infrastructure and data.
Pitching against more established companies in the sector, the six month-old company which was founded by several experts won the business through a combination of innovation and by offering a high standard of relationship management rarely found in the cloud services business.
Operation director, Jeremy Wyatt, explains: “The feedback from the council on why we stood out was that we offered the best overall package, with a high attention to detail, from product to service, as well as being competitive on price.
“The tender was an interesting one because it involved a solution for a private vault of data. Given the sensitive nature of this data – private information for over 150,000 people in Wealden District – the security measures we employed had to be the best in the industry. However, this is our bread and butter, so we knew our proposal was a strong one.”
“We are very competitive across every service that we offer, but we have put a lot of time and effort into getting our customer service right,” he added. “There is trust on two fronts in this business; the client has to trust the product, but also trust in the provider to deliver.“
Simon Russell, ICT support manager, Wealden District Council, said: “We invited a range of companies to pitch and were very impressed with what Fantastic Cloud Services had to offer. We look forward to working with them over the next 24 months as we expand our infrastructure and provide better online experience for our residents and staff.“
