AIC Adds 12Gb SAS JBOD Enclosures Up to 76 Bays

AIC, Inc. announces a series of full redundancy, HA 12Gb SAS JBOD enclosures for critical, performance-driven storage demand.

The short-depth design provides full redundancy and HA. The full line will be available starting October and features a combination of LSI expander chip and company’s own firmware. This ensures compatibility with most mainstream HDDs, HBAs and RAID controllers (SAS2/SAS3).

SAS JBOD enclosures allow for efficiency and have easy to replace hot-swap fans. Each JBOD has its own external ports, making it upgradeable and easy to get a lot more disks in a cluster. The series offers HA, redundancy, durability and efficiency – making the $/GB a value and investment in peace of mind.

  A 2U 12-bay 12Gb SAS JBOD, housing single/dual expander modules (field upgradeable), dual fans and redundant power supply.

• J2024-01
  A 2U 24 SFF bay 12Gb SAS JBOD, housing single/dual expander modules (field upgradeable), dual fans and redundant power supply.

• J3016-01
  A 3U 16-bay 12Gb SAS JBOD, housing single/dual expander modules (field upgradeable), dual fans and redundant power supply.

• J4024-01/J4024-02
  A 4U 24-bay 12Gb SAS JBOD, housing single/dual expander modules (field upgradeable), four fans and redundant power supply. The J4024-02 includes support for SAS interposer and Active Bezel.

• J4076-01
  A 4U 76-bay 12Gb SAS JBOD, ideal for HA storage and high performance appliance. This 4U 12Gb SAS JBOD enclosure, with single or dual expanders, supports 60×3.5″ top-loading and up to 16×2.5″ rear-facing hot-swap drives. The J4076-01’s unique feature allows tiered storage architecture in a single unit to take advantage of the potential of the SAS3 (12Gb/s).
