He will lead business development to enable new market segment expansion and will report to the president and COO.
In his new role, he will help enterprise businesses who struggle to close the gap formed by disparate islands of legacy data that is inaccessible without costly hardware investments. He will contribute to the SoftNAS mission by demonstrating the value of adopting a software-based cloud infrastructure in an easy to deploy product that is seamless, secure and simple to use in any environment and on most popular cloud computing platforms.
He brings experience and has held leadership roles with companies such as Dell, Citrix Systems, Inc., NCR and storage virtualization pioneer, GreenBytes. Throughout his career he has led dozens of new product initiatives resulting in growth for enterprise businesses and new multi-billion dollar revenue streams.

Richtberg’s experience ranges from entrepreneurial product strategies in cloud computing and software-defined infrastructure, to the creation of end-to-end offerings designed to simplify and accelerate the adoption of mobile and virtual desktop computing. He has served as VP, product strategy of Austin, TX-based Pivot3, and recently as a principal product strategist at Oracle, in a post-acquisition integration role of GreenBytes to Oracle ZFS. Formerly, he served as the VP, product Management for Providence, RI-based GreenBytes.
He has held multiple business development, strategic planning and acquisition roles at Dell. While there he was pivotal in developing new market strategies, industry partnerships and developing joint solutions marketing for Windows virtualization and enterprise architectures.
Previously, Richtberg founded the start-up, Blutech Innovations, Inc., and held leadership roles for Citrix. During his tenure at Citrix, he provided strategic planning for the $1 billion virtual solutions group to sustain long-term competitive marketplace advantages. Additionally, he was responsible for two market leading products and leveraged worldwide partner-based marketing channels to achieve growth. His experience at Citrix also included new product strategy, there he led progressive new product investigations and market differentiation resulting in an accelerated seven-digit sales growth for Citrix.
Richtberg holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix.
