Strategic Flash Technology Memorandum of Understanding Between Huawei and Micron

At Huawei Cloud Congress 2015, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd and Micron Technology, Inc. announced the signing of a strategic flash technology memorandum of understanding. Both parties will utilize their expertise to create innovative flash technologies for data center environments.

Joy Huang, VP of Huawei IT product line, and Darren Thomas, VP of Micron’s storage business uUnit, attended the signature signing ceremony.

The two companies will collaboratively provide flash storage solutions for high-density and big storage systems while continuing to explore best practices in flash technologies.

Huang said: “Huawei has been committed to continuous technical innovation and joint innovation. With this strategic cooperation on flash technologies, Micron and Huawei will lead the all-flash era by providing innovative storage solutions.“
