Infortrend Adds Two Flash-Based Storage Solutions

Infortrend Technology, Inc. announced two flash-based storage solutions: an all-flash storage and a hybrid storage with SSD Ccache and tiering features.

Combined, they deliver better storage agility for higher performance, workload sharing, capacity utilization and budget concerns.

Fueled by the increased demand for faster data transfer rates that high IO/s require, the worldwide flash-based array market reached $11.3 billion in 2014, as reported by IDC.

Infortrend’s all-flash storage solution comes with 2.5″ SSD optimized SFF enclosures, which provides up to 218,000 IO/s, making it the solution to accelerate database, OLTP and VDI applications.

When it comes to performance and capacity demands, Infortrend’s hybrid (flash and HDD) storage is a solution. It offers SSD cache to boost hot data performance rapidly, while the storage tiering feature allows for better utilization of SSD speed and spin drive capacity, providing performance without budget concerns.
