McGuire brings over 25 years of experience in the storage industry, leading multiple sales teams to achieve billion dollar plus sales goals at Dell, StorageTek, and Sun. In addition to channel and international experience, he has also demonstrated a record of building and scaling successful teams.
“Having just wrapped up another fiscal year of triple digit year-over-year growth, I am thrilled to have someone with Mike’s experience joining the executive team at Tintri,” said Ken Klein, chairman and CEO, Tintri. “We continue to see strong momentum across all of the markets we serve. Mike’s broad experience will help us capitalize on two key areas of growth: driving greater channel leverage and expanding our presence in new markets. McGuire joins Tintri from Dell where he held various executive roles since 2012, most recently as VP, North America channels sales, enterprise solutions group. In this role, he drove greater focus and penetration of the enterprise channel business, selling servers, storage, networking, and converged infrastructure solutions. Prior to Dell, he worked at Nexsan Technologies where he served as COO. Under his leadership, the company doubled its revenues across 60 countries with continuous quarterly growth. Prior to Nexsan, he was responsible for the $1.2 billion storage business for North and South America at Sun.
“I am excited to be joining one of the fastest growing companies in the industry, and a company that is providing an entirely new approach to maximizing storage efficiency for the marketplace” said McGuire. “Tintri is a breath of fresh air in an industry that desperately needs it. Having spent most of my career in storage, I am energized to introduce Tintri to millions of customers who have prioritized virtualization and cloud, and need storage that works at the VM-level. With its fanatical customer base, Tintri has proven that it’s time to challenge the storage quo.“
