StoredTech Announces Unlimited Data Vaulting
$99/server/month or $49/workstation/month
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on March 4, 2015 at 2:59 pmStored Technology Solutions Inc. (StoredTech) launched Unlimited Backup Plans for business customers.
In a bold move that disrupts the market standard of charging per gigabyte of data, the company is offering unlimited safe and secure cloud backup to businesses for $99 per server per month or $49 per workstation per month.
The company says that their departure from the standard per gigabyte pricing model is (in-part) in response to an unsettling trend that’s emerged whereby price-conscience businesses will often put some of their data at risk by being selective about which business data they backup – this all in an attempt to save some cost. This leaves them less than 100% protected from data loss scenarios that could put their entire business in jeopardy.
“Businesses will often let this standard pricing model of per Gig affect what they choose to backup,” says Mark Shaw, president and CEO, StoredTech. “This is particularly true with the SMB market where businesses need to be more frugal. We want our customers to be able to backup all of their data in order to provide their businesses with true DR and peace-of-mind.“
At a time when more than half of SMBs surveyed admit to not performing daily backups, Shaw says that we need to change the mindset: “The reality is that data and backup are critical in today’s business environment. Businesses of every size need to start thinking of data protection more like homeowners insurance, you may hate paying the monthly bill, but if your home were to suffer a fire, you’d be thankful that the insurance is there to help you. Backup is the most important, efficient and cost effective way to protect yourself from a data loss that could put your entire business in jeopardy – it’s not just for the ‘big companies’ to worry about anymore.“
StoredTech’s unlimited pricing is not just for their future customers, the company has rolled its existing customers on to the new plans as well, saving some hundreds of dollars per month.
SheetLabels.com has been a customer since 2008. As an international provider of blank and custom printed labels, it relies on ecommerce and requires backend management and redundancies to keep their operations running.
“Our data is extremely important to us and I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night if it were not 100% protected,” said Adam Gray, president, SheetLabels.com. “We were shocked and delighted when StoredTech contacted us recently to let us know about their new unlimited backup plans. The unlimited vaulting will save us approximately $400-$600 a month from our previous plan, for a total annual reduction of somewhere around 75%!“
This announcement comes after an year of growth for the company who nearly doubled its staff since early 2013 and expanded its geographic reach and service offerings by opening offices in Malone, Saratoga Springs, Plattsburg and New Jersey – all while further enhancing its portfolio through acquisitions.
