ProMax Platform Series
Since introducing Platform Portable at IBC, ProMAX is shipping the distinctive mobile workflow server that lets creative groups connect their existing drives and attached storage devices to transform them into a shared editing environment.
Platform Portable’s capabilities present opportunities for smaller workgroups to improve their content creation processes. Designed for groups of up to 6 users, it’s video optimized shared workflow solution that offers an accessible ‘bridge’ in moving from attached storage into robust shared storage. Portable can be configured with an optional, built-in 2TB SSD storage module featuring 2 x 1TB drives in RAID-0 for fast access to media. The Portable base configuration has an MSRP of around $5,995, before options for expanded network connectivity, transcoding, or onboard storage are added. There are no per seat licensing costs.
The Platform Portable answers the call for a truly mobile shared editing system that travels from studio to locations and back. At 18″ x 12″ x 2.5″ and 10.75 pounds, it’s lightweight and small enough to take by plane or car to any shoot location. With handles integrated into the chassis design and a shock absorbent, protective travel bag, it’s purpose built to withstand the demands of being transported to and performing in outdoor environments.
