SkySync Enables Hybrid Storage Options for Oracle Customers
With connector for WebCenter Content
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on February 19, 2015 at 2:50 pmPortal Architects, Inc., creators of SkySync, announced the release of a connector for Oracle WebCenter Content.
This connector, along with the existing SkySync Oracle Documents Cloud connector, enables organizations to integrate any existing on-premises or cloud content storage systems with WebCenter Content or Documents Cloud Service quickly.
WebCenter Content is Oracle’s ECM solution for central management of all unstructured content allowing content integration into business applications and business processes. Documents Cloud is a generation cloud-based file sharing and collaboration solution built for the enterprise with robust security, application integration, and support for on-premises enterprise content management integration. Documents Cloud Service is part of the Oracle Cloud, which provides the portfolio of public cloud services across SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and DaaS.
SkySync is a tool that enables businesses to sync, migrate or copy entire folder structures across storage systems with just clicks of a mouse. Organizations can automate large, in-place file migrations to either Oracle solution, or they can tightly integrate Documents Cloud Service and Oracle WebCenter Content together, creating a synchronized hybrid ECM solution. SkySync mitigates both IT and user-adoption risk as the software is designed to meet most any use-case scenario and perform any size job with virtually no disruption of business or IT heavy lifting.
“SkySync provides bi-directional, fully-synchronized integration across Oracle WebCenter Content on-premises and Oracle Documents cloud Service, providing organizations the ability to leverage the best of both worlds,” said Mark Brazeau, CEO, Portal Architects. “Enterprises can also fully integrate and synchronize files from either platform to other existing storage infrastructures. This level of adoption flexibility means that they’re no longer tethered to content standardization within the company’s firewall. Businesses can now have an enterprise-grade file synchronization and sharing system leveraging a strategic content management platform to best meet their needs.“
“By working with Portal Architects, we are able to give Oracle WebCenter Content and Oracle Documents cloud Service users a true hybrid ECM storage option, as SkySync provides a bridge between these two platforms,” said David Le Strat, senior director, WebCenter, Oracle Corp.
With additional connectors to most major cloud and on-site storage platforms, SkySync makes it easy for organization to integrate WebCenter Content or Documents Cloud Service within an existing IT infrastructure.
