Former position of senior sales director for Europe and Russia/CIS taken by Stefan Mandl
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on January 30, 2015 at 3:04 pmWD, a Western Digital Corp. company, announced that Stefan Mandl has been appointed senisales director for Europe and Russia/CIS of the company’s components distribution and OEM sales organization, succeeding Sven Rathjen, who will lead the company’s Network Content Solutions business unit as VP and GM, based in the U.S.
Both positions are effective February 1, 2015.
Mandl is based in Munich. He has served WD in Europe for ten years in a variety of sales roles, most recently sales director Europe. For the past four years he reported to Rathjen. Previous to WD, he held various sales roles for hardware and software companies.
Rathjen began working for WD seven years ago as a marketing manager and has since served the company in sales roles, most recently as VP sales, Europe and Russia/CIS. In his new role, he will report to Jim Welsh, EVP of content solutions and WW sales.
