Qnap Debuts TS-x31+ Series Turbo NAS

Embedded with a dual-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A15 CPU, the TS-x31+ series provides a energy-efficient solution for file storage, sharing and backup with hardware-accelerated encryption, coupled with the cloud-based Notes Station 2.0, various multimedia applications and more.

Powered by an Cortex-A15 dual-core 1.4GHz processor, VFPv4 floating point unit, and 1GB DDR3 RAM with native support for 6Gb SATA drives, the TS-x31+ series delivers transfer and multitasking performance of up to 200MB/s throughput. The enhanced hardware encryption engine provides transfer speeds of over 150MB/s with AES-256 bit NAS volume encryption, boosting system performance and security while ensuring the safety of sensitive data. Equipped with dual Gigabit LAN ports, it dual IP settings, port-trunking modes and enables users to set up fault tolerance or link aggregation for increased data throughput.
With Notes Station 2.0, the TS-x31+ series allows users to create digital notes on their private cloud and collaborate and share with friends and colleagues. Users can edit their notes with an web-based editor, take screenshots with a Google Chrome extension or desktop Qsnap application, enrich their notes with media files stored on the TS-x31+, and convenient access to their notes by using the Qnotes mobile app. Notes Station 2.0 also supports PDF file import/export, RSS live feeds, snapshots for version control, online preview for attached multimedia files, AES 256-bit encryption for notes, and the ability to backup & modify Evernote notes.
The TS-x31+ series is for serving as a home multimedia hub with a range of multimedia applications. With DLNA, AirPlay and Chromecast support, it allows users to view photos, listen to music, and watch HD-quality videos stored on the TS-x31+ throughout their home on compatible Smart TVs, game consoles and media players.
By using the Photo Station, Music Station, and Video Station apps, users can centralize their media collection for sharing with coworkers and friends. Remotely accessing and managing files stored on the TS-x31+ is easy with the Qphoto, Qmusic, Qvideo, Qfile, and Qmanager mobile apps. The Qsync utility further helps sync files across various devices with the most updated copy stored on the NAS.
Users can increase the functionalities of the TS-x31+ series with the QTS App Center that provides various install-on-demand apps developed by Qnap and third-party developers, including apps for backup/sync, productivity tools, content management, communications, downloading, entertainment and more. Qnap’s development platform also allows developers to create various applications, adding even more value to the TS-x31+ series and providing near-unlimited functionality for users.
