OWC Rolling Out 1TB Envoy Pro EX USB 3.0 Bus-Powered Portable SSD

Other World Computing (OWC) announced an 1TB model of the EnvoyPro EX portable SSD.

Designed in anodized aluminum to match modern Macs and PCs, the Envoy Pro EX fits into a coat pocket, backpack, or briefcase for rugged, portable, high-performance storage. Now available in double the previous capacity, the 1TB Envoy Pro EX will was available for a hands-on demonstration throughout CES 2015 at the OWC booth.

USB 3.0 Bus-Powered SSD
The heart of the Envoy Pro EX is an OWC Aura Pro 6Gb SSD which offers sustained reads up to 436MB/s and writes up to 429MB/s. Besides offering fast performance, it is bus-powered for portability.

The Envoy Pro EX combines elegance and performance into a portable storage solution that hides its underlying rugged dependability. It inspired Jim Tanous of The Mac Observer to proclaim it “absolutely beautiful and on par with the best that has come out of Jony Ive’s (SVP of Industrial Design at Apple) labs.“
