Netgear, Inc. is expanding its family of NAS devices with the ReadyNAS 200 Series for home and home office networks.

Available in two and four-bay desktop models (RN202, RN204) for media enthusiasts, photo hobbyists, and the home user, ReadyNAS 200 is powered by a Dual Core Cortex A15 1.4GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, and dual GbE ports with Link Aggregation technology. You’ll appreciate the performance of ReadyNAS 200 for backups and file access, especially if you have a upgraded 802.11ac WiFi network. It transfers files up to 200 MB/s), doubling the throughput of competing devices in its class.

The ReadyNAS 200 series offers with a 3-year limited hardware warranty and free 24×7 phone support for 90 days. Netgear recommends having at least one complete backup of all stored data. However, if storage drives are damaged and data becomes difficult or impossible to access, Netgear offers an additional level of protection, with expert data recovery services available for both business and home storage products.

ReadyNAS 200 Series will be available in late January at an MSRP in the U.S. of $359.99 for a diskless 2-bay model (RN202) and $499.99 for a diskless 4-bay model (RN204). The storage solutions are available through a variety of Netgear PowerShift partners and authorized reseller and DMR channels.
