Vembu FileShare, Secure and Free File Sharing Collaboration Tool

Vembu Technologies, Inc. plans to disrupt the cloud backup market by providing enterprise grade desktop and laptop backups for free.

Vembu announced a free file sharing and collaboration tool for businesses called FileShare. It is a flexible and scalable online file storage and sync solution designed for SMBs to store, sync and access their files, office documents, and any other media from mobile devices, tablets or desktops. Designed to address sophisticated business needs of mobile users to enhance the usage of BYOD. All data stored in FileShare is protected using AES 256 encryption algorithm where the business manages the encryption key for maximum data protection.

The FileShare application is free of license cost and charges only for the cloud storage. So users would be charged for the amount of storage they utilize in a month which is $0.10/GB/month. Businesses also get a 10GB of free space on our cloud and Personal users get 2GB of free space.

The FileShare application stores all the customer data in AWS infrastructure, which is in compliance with HIPAA, HITECH and SAS 170. Users can stay assured of data integrity and security. A recent research indicates that 67% of small businesses now view mobile solutions and services as ‘critical’ to their businesses. 83% have already deployed mobile apps to help improve employee productivity.

FileShare is a real time application for business users, who can quickly and easily access files and folders from anywhere. They do need to have common credentials across multiple devices in order to synchronize all files and folders across multiple devices. They can then share, access and work on files with other collaborators. Multiple users can view, edit, sync, delete and download the files and folders from anywhere at anytime!

In addition, FileShare provides secure links for file and folders so that the files and folders are shared securely. Links can be shared via email, IM or any social network through SSL (HTTPS) ports. It prompts an email notification whenever a file or folder is being shared.

It allows only the authorised users to access the data and prevents the occurrence of any unsanctioned activity. Specific users can be granted permissions to view, sync, edit or delete the shared files and folders or they can be granted access as a co-owner to manage the data.
