Transcend StoreJet Portable Drive for Mac

Transcend Information, Inc. announced the launch of the StoreJet for Mac (SJM) series.

Exclusively for Mac, SJM100 portable HDD, SJM300 portable HDD and SJM500 portable SSD offer storage space and data transfer speeds. In addition, all three models are natively formatted in HFS+ and support Time Machine, allowing users to plug and play.

SJM100 USB 3.0 Portable HDD for Military-grade Data Protection

Military-grade shock resistance
SJM100 portable HDD meets U.S. military drop-test standards based on MIL-STD-810F 516.5-Transit Drop Test. The outer shell is made of a slip-resistant silicone material, reinforced by an internal HDD suspension damper, offering shock-absorption.

2TB storage with USB 3.0 interface
SJM100 offers additional 2TB of storage space to save up to 512 hours of Full HD video, over 32,000 hours of digital music, or 960,000+ of high resolution digital images. Equipped with a USB 3.0 interface, the SJM100 offers amazing transfer rates and provides 10 times the bandwidth of USB 2.0, allowing users to save time and boost productivity.

One touch auto-backup button
When used with Elite software, this convenient button enables users to backup and synchronize data with their notebook or desktop PC, ensuring that files are safely stored in a secondary backup location.

Thunderbolt interface for fast speeds
With Thunderbolt technology, both the SJM300 portable HDD and SJM500 portable SSD deliver interface transfer rates of up to 10 Gb/s (maximum interface transfer rates shown, performance varies by capacity, user hardware and system configuration.) For universal connectivity, both models are also equipped with a USB 3.0 port (SJM500 with UASP support for even higher transfer rates), providing 10 times the bandwidth of USB 2.0.

Sturdy and metallic design
The SJM300’s internal HDD suspension system gives the HDD protection, whereas the SJM500 SSD can withstand 5 times shock than HDDs. Moreover, their metallic design complements Macs with a sleek and elegant look. SJM300 portable HDD offers 2TB of storage space and SJM500 portable SSD is offered in capacities ranging from 256GB to 1TB.
