The new 2498-R42 b-type extension switch delivers a number of connectivity options in a 2U form factor.
With Gen 5 FC and Fabric Vision technology, it is designed to deliver performance, continuous availability of storage extension networks, and network and applicatio monitoring that organizations need tohandle escalating data traffic.

Key prerequisites
The System Storage SAN42B-R switch supports multiprotocol connectivity for servers and storage. The 2498-R42 model supports all features and functions listed and require Fabric OS level 7.3.x, or later.
