This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on November 28, 2014 at 2:27 pmAccusys Storage Ltd and Tiger Technology, in SAN and shared storage systems, announced the availability of Tiger Serve1 integrated shared storage workflow controller, tuned and certified for use with Accusys ExaSAN PCIe storage systems.
This integrated and custom-engineered solution provides users with a powerful, productivity-boosting, and cost-effective shared storage system that is suitable for the demanding content-centric workflows including editorial, post-production, color grading, and high-resolution finishing.
More than simple DAS, ExaSAN PCIe RAID systems can also be configured as SAN solutions with the addition of an ExaSAN PCIe switch. The addition of a Tiger Serve1 shared storage workflow controller provides multi-user collaborative capabilities, including cross-platform file-sharing, project management, automatic file system maintenance, and 24/7 professional support required by complex and time-constrained productions.
The Tiger – ExaSAN solution provides users with scalable capacity, high-bandwidth, and easy setup, as Tiger Serve1 appliances equipped with ExaSAN PCIe HBA cards take advantage of the PCIe protocol throughout the storage path.
A variety of configurations are available, for multi-user high-resolution workflows including HD, 2K, and 4K. Users may also use a combination of PCIe and Ethernet connectivity providing flexibility and allowing them to use the right connection type for their application.
