Lilien Systems Reselling Seagate Cloud Systems and Solutions and Basho

Lilien Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sysorex Global Holdings Corp., announced reseller partner agreements with Seagate’s Cloud Systems and Solutions and Basho Technologies, Inc. to address the emerging and growing market of object storage solutions, which IDC estimates to be a $21.7 billion market by 2017.

The combination of technologies and services from Basho, Seagate and Lilien form a synergistic foundation for delivering reliable, scalable object storage solutions and professional services to enterprise customers. Forthcoming object storage solutions resulting from the partnership will target on-premises or private cloud environments for medium to large enterprises.

Seagate announced it is extending its market position as a partner in storing, protecting and sharing data by going beyond its strong disk drive business to deliver cloud systems and solutions for OEMs and ‘do-it-yourself’ (DIY) cloud service providers.

Riak CS (Cloud Storage) is an easy-to-use object storage software built on top of Riak, Basho’s distributed database. It is designed to provide simple, available, distributed cloud storage at any scale, and can be used to build cloud architectures, both public and private, or as storage infrastructure for heavy-duty applications and services.
