SuperCloud is a joint venture between the Beijing government and Cloud Valley. The company is one of the innovative companies working within the auspices of Cloud Valley, founded by noted Chinese Internet entrepreneur Edward Tian, and is home to nearly twenty companies focusing on cloud computing hardware, software and services.

As a result of this partnership, Nexenta’s SDS software is approved to work with server hardware from SuperCloud. Chinese companies are able to benefit from a combined hardware-software solution that is both advanced and more economical than those offered by legacy storage companies.

Cloud computing is a top priority for Chinese businesses and public administrations,” said Tarkan Maner, chairman and CEO, Nexenta. “Cloud computing requires the ability to scale economically and we feel that the combination of Nexenta and SuperCloud will make that possible.

Nexenta has already demonstrated the benefits of Software-Defined Storage to thousands of businesses around the world,” according to FangYuZhen. “We are very much looking forward to combining our expertise in cloud computing hardware, software and services for the betterment of Chinese industry.

SuperCloud is already working with China’s companies across government, education, energy, financial services and more. The company provides cloud servers, cloud management platforms and more in order for their customers to create or benefit from a cloud computing infrastructure.
