PernixData Collaborates With Micron

PernixData, Inc.and Micron Technology, Inc. will work together to promote the adoption of Micron SSD and memory with PernixData FVP software.

Through this collaboration, the two companies will work to maximize the gains achieved when storage performance is decoupled from storage capacity using server-side flash and memory, which includes faster application performance, improved storage array utilization, and lower IT infrastructure costs.

PernixData FVP is an infrastructure element of any virtualized data center. The software virtualizes server side flash and memory into a clustered acceleration tier that enables IT administrators to optimize VM performance while scaling-out storage performance with compute resources.

Micron is a developer of memory technologies, which it builds into a portfolio of end solutions including SSDs and DRAM modules. Backed by more than 35 years of technology leadership, Micron’s memory solutions enable innovative computing, consumer, enterprise storage, networking, mobile, embedded and automotive applications.
