30% growth over the previous quarter, now with 900 customers
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on August 18, 2014 at 2:47 pmScale Computing, Inc., provider of hyperconverged solutions, announced a record quarter in Q2 2014, with 30% growth over the previous quarter.
In addition, Q2 sales pipeline grew by over 50% versus the previous quarter.
As a result of its Q2 record sales, Scale Computing has now sold its HC3 products to over 900 customers, surpassing the number of customers of its closest competitor by a wide margin.
These 900 customers represent over 3,500 HC3 appliances.
New customers in Q2 include Coral Industries, Inc., Haynes International, Inc., Jackson Civil Engineering, and Oxford University.
The company has grown its customer base with the support of over $50 million in funding received from outside investors.
The company attributes its growth to customers looking to simplify their data center infrastructure, with most of those customers switching workloads to the HC3 platform from VMware. The Q2 sales growth is also the result of customer service, which has maintained a Net Promoter Score of above 70 for the past six quarters.
“We have achieved this tremendous traction as small-to-medium companies realize the benefits of the simplicity and the cost-saving ROI offered by the HC3 platform,” said Jeff Ready, CEO, Scale Computing. “We continue to see new customers adopt the HC3 appliance platform as a comprehensive, easy-to-manage alternative to the complexity of the traditional VMware environment.“
“Scale Computing is on a rapid trajectory with the potential to become a major supplier of standard infrastructure for SMBs and beyond,” said Arun Taneja, founder and consulting analyst, Taneja Group. “Scale Computing offers a uniquely simple, scalable, yet cost-effective solution combining servers, storage and virtualization in a single appliance, making it an attractive option for achieving the benefits of the cloud.“
“The Scale Computing HC3 hyperconvergence platform does exactly what we need it to do, and with absolutely no single point of failure,” said Justin Corneby, IT manager, Jackson Civil Engineering. “In addition to HA, the HC3 offers tremendously easy scalability. All we have to do is add another node and we’re off and running.“
