This service provides enterprise cloud backup for Linux servers, which dominate the data center and hosting space.

It brings secure data protection to Linux servers in a user-friendly way, targeting data centers and hosting companies that manage multiple Linux systems. DataCenter backup’s web-based GUI, also optimized for mobile, allows offsite management; enabling customers to backup, restore, and administer or schedule tasks remotely.

Easy to install, maintain, and upgrade, it eliminates command line scripting needs, generally difficult, time-consuming tasks utilized by other Linux backup services. Features include the ability to perform interactive backup, set up automated scheduled backups (to ensure regular backups occur), user-based bandwidth regulation, and the use of 256-bit AES encryption (with optional private key) as an extra layer of protection.

IDrive DataCenter is a big step for us as a company. Traditionally our focus has been consumers and SMBs, but we received many requests from potential customers needing better, easier ways to backup their Linux servers,” says Raghu Kulkarni, CEO, IDrive. “Current solutions in the marketplace only offer command-line backup tools, IDrive DataCenter offers an easy-to-use, browser-based application with a GUI and scalable storage plans enabling businesses to remotely secure an entire data center’s worth of data at a cost-effective price.

With ever-increasing data demands in the cloud, the necessity to secure mass amounts of data within budget is a major point of concern for many data centers and hosting organizations. IDrive’s GUI reduces the need for attentive, time consuming scripting, freeing up IT staff for other critical tasks.

It is currently available for business use with various pricing plan options. It works with all major Linux distros like Ubuntu, Debian and RedHat. Custom storage accounts can be discussed by contacting IDrive’s support team.

The company’s services help over 2 million customers backup over 45PB of data.
