Since its initial release, the app has been about giving users the power of Thecus NAS wherever they are, offering file sharing, data protection, and allowing them to access their files on the go. Users will also benefit from three updates geared to perfect the Thecus experience.

Share link, instant upload and automatic setup enhance the mobile app and allow users to do more with their NAS, wherever they are. To take advantage of these latest enhancements, users should make sure to run the latest version of Thecus firmware on their NAS.

Share Link
Share Link lets users share a link to all sorts of files which have been backed up on their NAS. Rather than sending photos manually or having to take the time and effort of re-uploading them onto third party services, this makes the whole process as easy as sharing a link to a favorite website. By creating an encrypted link to selected photos stored on their NAS, users can share their fondest vacation memories or daily moments.

Photo Sync and Instant Upload
Photo Sync and Instant Upload are two features that work together to let users keep the latest photos from their phone or mobile device backed up and available on their NAS. Photo Sync is an automatic photo backup feature which synchronizes the latest photos from a user’s mobile device and uploads them to their NAS. Photo Sync frees users from the space constraints of their mobile device and makes their photos available anywhere. Those who need even more instantaneous photo uploads can use Instant Upload for photos to immediately be transferred onto their device right after they’re taken.

Automatic Setup
Setting up the app is easier with Automatic Setup. The auto scan feature and Thecus ID registration tool make all the difference – there’s no need to lug out the PC or understand what WebDAV is. All users have to do is register for a free Thecus DDNS account, enter those details into their NAS and use T-OnTheGo to connect automatically to their personal Thecus Cloud. Available anywhere and able to stream multimedia via DLNA, users will never be far from their collection of movies, photos, or files with automatic setup and their NAS.
