American Megatrends Launching StorTrends Profit Channel Program

For all-flash, hybrid and spinning disk storage solutions

American Megatrends Inc. (AMI) announced the launch of the StorTrends PROFIT Program, a channel program that gives partners one of the highest protected margins in the industry for StorTrends’ all-flash, hybrid and spinning disk storage solutions.

Extending its commitment for StorTrends as a 100% channel-focused company, AMI is launching this program to fuel its growing channel ecosystem. It gives partners marketing programs, IT infrastructure assessment and sales tools, and support access so that they can capitalize on the mounting demand for cost-efficient, hybrid and full flash storage solutions. 

The amount of data companies store continues to grow according to IDC in its bi-annual Digital Universe Study that estimates the digital universe could reach 40ZB in 2020, an amount that exceeds previous forecasts by 5ZB, resulting in a 50-fold growth from the beginning of 2010.

Managing that growth will require new ways to think about storage, and 2014 will see major developments in such technologies as flash storage, deduplication and compression, to help with the growth. The StorTrends PROFIT program gives channel partners adaptive storage solutions in all-flash, hybrid and spinning disk SAN and NAS configurations to address the data growth for organizations – without the pain and cost of over-provisioning costly storage resources.

At the core of the program is the StorTrends iDATA software analytics tool designed to provide an accurate assessment of IT infrastructure performance, capacity and throughput requirements. By measuring all of the necessary components of an IT infrastructure, the StorTrends iDATA tool can assess pain points in an environment before they become disruptive and provide the details needed to make informed storage decisions. It runs non-intrusively, in the background of an existing IT environment for seven days. It then produces an analysis output file to generate a report that provides important metrics including capacity utilization (in the form of both active [and hot] and inactive [or cold]), IO/s usage, reads versus writes for volumes, network bandwidth performance, server statistics and application information. The resulting metrics can be used by partners to develop a short and long-term storage strategy, with heightened confidence.

AMI is pairing its StorTrends iDATA tool with a set of partner benefits to enable partner success. The program’s benefits include opportunity deal registration and protected margins, onsite sales and technical training, online demos and webinars, dedicated StorTrends sales and technical representatives and aggressive pricing. The program also offers a suite of marketing resources, partner marketing development funds (MDFs), ‘SPIF’ funds and lead generation programs for free qualified leads.
