Aleratec Introducing Duplicator With 23 USB 3.0 Ports …

Aleratec Inc. introduced the 1:23 USB HDD Copy Tower SA, a stand-alone duplicator for cloning up to 23 USB flash drives or external 2.5-inch HDDs/SSD drives with USB.

Part of a family of stand-alone USB HDD duplicators, it reduces the time required to clone large quantities of USB storage devices and can copy USB flash drives, external 2.5-inch HDDs or SSD drives with USB. Functions include copy or compare, copy system and data only, copy complete drive, and format FAT and FAT 32 file systems.

“Listening to our customers is a vital part of Aleratec’s product development process,” says Perry Solomon, Aleratec president and CEO. “There was clearly a need for a flash drive duplicator that would also work with 2.5-inch HDDs and solid state drives with USB, so our engineers got to work and designed a very versatile product line.“

In addition to duplication, it sanitizes 2.5″ external HDDs with USB. The sanitization function removes all traces of information from 2.5″ external HDDs, and users can choose from 1-Pass, 3-Pass or DoD 7-Pass overwrite functions. HDDs sanitized by 7-Pass wipe have been verified by a leader in forensic data recovery as being “forensically unrecoverable” and meeting the criteria set forth in NIST 800-88 guidelines for media sanitization.

The tower supports popular brands of USB 1.1, 2.0 and 3.0 flash drives and external 2.5-inch USB HDDs/SSDs, and includes:

• A stand-alone design that does not require a computer

• An interface with back-lighted LCD display

• Certified sanitization on the DOD 7-Pass overwrite for USB-connected 2.5″ external HDDs

This is part of the company’s series of USB HDD Copy Cruisers and Copy Towers.

It will be available for shipment in the second quarter of 2014, with an ERP of $2,399 from the company’s resellers and distribution partners.
