IBackup Spotlights Express Backup
For large uploads
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on June 12, 2014 at 3:03 pmIbackup (IDrive Inc.) answered the need for faster backup by highlighting their IBackup Express service.
This service was created to address a problem in the business world; companies are generating and storing more and more data, but Internet bandwidth is failing to catch up, leaving many businesses without a fast way to backup their data to the cloud.
This service tackles this problem by shipping a physical HDD, up to 5TB, onto which data can be transferred faster. Once the data is uploaded to the drive, a customer simply ships the drive back with the included return-shipping label; their data is in the cloud in less than a week. Shipping charges, both ways, are covered by the company as part of regular subscription fees, so there’s no additional fee for the service.
“Slow upload speeds and latency are major problems that businesses face,” says Shane Bingham, business development coordinator, IBackup, “Many businesses are generating or keeping a lot of data for compliance, record-keeping, or for tax purposes. That data can take forever to upload to the cloud. IBackup Express solves that problem at no cost to our customers.“
It is an integrated online backup, recovery, storage, and sharing service for enterprise businesses and is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux. Along with the cross compatibility is the ability to backup several computers and devices to a single account. Software features include automatic scheduling for backups, sub-accounts, incremental backup subsequent to initial full backup, and file versioning.
It supports open file backup, system state backup, as well as server and database backups – MS SQL Server, MS Exchange Server, MS SharePoint Server, Oracle Server. All data has 256-bit AES encryption with a private key option.
IBackup is a product of IDrive Inc., a privately held company specializing in cloud storage, online backup, file sharing, remote access, compliance, sync and related technologies.
