X-IO Underpins Jesuit College Prep School IT Infrastructure
For over five years
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on June 2, 2014 at 2:53 pmX-IO Technologies (Xiotech Corporation) announced the reliability and self-healing capabilities of its X-IO ISE solution with its latest five year customer Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas (JCPS).
JCPS stores and accesses data, including academic records and students’ work, from an IT infrastructure including ten physical servers, 20 virtual servers and the X-IO ISE storage array. Since its installation five years ago, JCPS has experienced zero downtime and no performance degradation, regardless of capacity utilization.
Peter Billingham, director of technology, JCPS of Dallas, explained: “X-IO underpins our entire IT infrastructure. It provides high performance while remaining reliable and highly easy to use. Thanks to its self-healing capabilities, in the five years since it was installed, I have not had to touch it once.“
The X-IO solution enables students and teachers to access their files at any time and allows data to be backed up from multiple servers in different areas of the school. This ensures its 1,000 students can get the most out of their IT facilities to support their education.
Blair Parkhill, VP of technical marketing, X-IO concluded: “The reliability and ‘no-touch’ guarantee of X-IO’s solutions is critical for the education sector. Not only does it reduce maintenance time and costs, it also frees up the staff to focus on developing their entire technology offering to support the long-term relationship between this exemplary institution and its pupils and alumni.“
